"An eternity passes, as I relish in my thoughts of you

Days span evenings no concept of beginning or end.

I remember our firsts, first time we talked, kissed, and cried.

So many firsts together hand in hand, side by side.

A first is this sort of emptiness that consumes me with fear.

Absence of my best friend is the first time in my life I feel alone.

So much has transpired since our lives have parted ways.

A first for me to ponder thoughts of where I went wrong.

Mistakes were firsts that I will no longer repeat.

The thought of moving on without you renders my heart still.

You were my first love yesterday, today, and future.

I love you forever, always will."
